Hegar Double-Ended Dilator
Hegar Cervical Dilators from Hayden Medical are made of German Stainless Steel. They are sold individually or in a set of 8 double-ended dilators (3mm-18mm) in increments of 1mm. Each Hegar double-ended dilator is engraved with the size as a quick reference and for ease of use. Unlike many of our competitors, Hayden Medical supplies Hegar Dilators from sizes a small as 1mm to sizes as large as 26mm (sizes usually stop at 18mm). Common uses for Hegar Cervical Dilators:
- Cervical dilation for currettage or biopsy (stabilized with a uterine tenaculum)
- Treatment of Vaginismus
- Penile Implant Insertion (Inflatable implants, commonly using sizes 11mm-12mm, product #290-111)
- Dilation via inserting smaller dilators and progressing to larger diameter dilators
