The preparation of limbs and a patients body for surgery is a big process. The skin must be cleaned and prepared in order for now contaminants to enter the sterile field and risk infection.  The picket fence leg holder is designed to help with this step.  Legs tend to be quite heavy, especially when a patient is under general anesthetic, or is a larger patient. There are may ways that staff supports these heavy limbs and at times it can be in a way that is not ergonomic at all.

The picket fence leg holder can be adjusted in height with clamps that attach to the side rails of the OR Table.  It is designed to be able to prep one leg for surgery at a time. It is constructed of 5/8″ diameter stainless steel rod, and coated with rubber type covering for preservation and patient comfort.  The 5/8″ round upright post will fit in any clamp that accepts a round accessory.
