Whitman Shepherd Capsule Polisher
The Whitman Shepherd Double-Ended Capsule Polisher is a reusable ophthalmic surgical instrument designed for controlled removal of lens epithelial cells (LECs) from the inner surface of the capsular bag during cataract surgery.
Featuring circular polishing tips, the instrument facilitates cleaning of the capsular equator and removal of residual lens epithelial cells prior to intraocular lens (IOL) insertion.
The double-ended configuration combines left-angled and right-angled polishers on a single handle, allowing the surgeon to access different areas of the capsular bag without changing instruments.
